Studies have demonstrated that adults aged 65 years or older, have increased in past-year usage of cannabis from 1% in 2005, to 4.2% in 2018. Researchers say the condition occurs in people who are long-term regular consumers of cannabis and causes nausea, uncontrollable vomiting and excruciating pain in a cyclical pattern that often leads to repeated trips to the hospital.
