An Arizona marijuana establishment is voluntarily recalling DIME Mint OG concentrate/extract (batch #MOGBL0405) due to possible contamination with piperonyl butoxide, a pesticide. Exposure to small amounts can cause skin irritation, tingling, burning, numbness, or itching, while larger exposures may lead to dizziness, headaches, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and sensitivity to sound or touch. If you have been have questions about exposures to this pesticide, call the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center at 1-800-222-1222.

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) advises consumers not to ingest, inhale, or use the product and to dispose of it immediately. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers experiencing symptoms should seek medical care.

The contamination was discovered during a routine ADHS inspection, which found that testing records indicated the presence of piperonyl butoxide. Upon notification, the facility producing the product took immediate action to remove it from store shelves and notify distribution partners.

Consumers with questions should contact the dispensary where they purchased the product.
